Fire in Norway Leaves One Dead

NORWAY, Maine (WGAN) A fire Sunday morning in Norway left one dead. Channel 8 report that calls came in for the fire on Greenwood Road around 7:25 Sunday morning.

Officials said the fire was reported by a neighbor who saw smoke coming from the house.

Maine Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said 68 year-old Stephen McAllister was found in the living room of his single-story home on Greenwood Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

McAllister’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for examination.
