Six people hospitalized after dump truck tips over on to vehicle in Wilton

Six people including three children were injured Monday in Wilton when a dump truck hauling rocks collided with and overturned on a car.

According to the Sun Journal, it happened on Route 2 near the intersection with Jay Street around 11:30 Monday morning.

The driver of the Ford Focus was identified as 34-year-old Olin Hiscock of Wilton. 40-year-old Mary Jordan of Livermore Falls was also in the vehicle along with her 4-year-old child. Another 4-year-old and a 12-year-old were also in the vehicle. All of them were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. Jordan was LifeFlighted from there to another hospital.

The dump truck driver, 51-year-old Neil Buck of Augusta, was also taken to the hospital.

The crash is still being investigated.
