A former employee at Mt. Ararat Middle and High Schools accused of possessing child porn was arrested on Friday for failing to appear in court.

Portland Police say 32-year-old Nathan Valentine was taken into custody in South Portland and brought to Cumberland County Jail.

MSAD 75 school superintendent Heidi O’Leary confirmed that Valentine worked for the school district and called the allegations against him “deeply disturbing” in comments made last May.

Valentine faces a charge of possessing sexually explicit material of a child under the age of 12.
