PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) A former music teacher in Brunswick accused of inappropriately touching two students who are minors has been indicted.

The Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office says 32-year-old Joshua King of Wiscasset was charged with 25 counts each of Unlawful Sexual Contact, 5 counts of Unlawful Sexual Touching, and 5 counts of Assault. The indictments were returned Monday and King is set to be arraigned Thursday.

A female student taking piano lessons from King disclosed that he had been touching her inappropriately on a regular basis since 2017. A second minor, also a student, made similar allegations.

King, who worked at a music school in Brunswick, has since been fired.

Anyone with further information about the allegations is asked to contact police or the d-a’s office.
