KENNEBUNK, Maine (AP) A former Maine high school teacher who was found not guilty of sexually assaulting a student says she plans to write a book about her experience.

Jill Lamontagne tells the Journal Tribune she is still in recovery mode after her acquittal in July.

She said Saturday she hasn’t ruled out teaching again, but she is considering other careers including counseling or something else in the medical field.

The 30-year-old was accused of having a relationship with a former student at Kennebunk High School in 2017. The student was 17 at the time.

Lamontagne’s lawyer said the accusations were “teenage fantasies.”

Lamontagne says she was helping the teen at the time with schoolwork so he could graduate. She says she “gave 110 percent,” and wouldn’t have done anything differently.
