Gov. Janet Mills will deliver her annual State of the State address in two parts.

The governor says there’s a lot of ground to cover, so she’s doing things differently this year. She’ll split up her address by delivering remarks about Maine’s strengths, goals and challenges in the morning on Tuesday.

Later, at 7 p.m., she’ll talk about the Lewiston mass shooting and recent storms that caused serious damage to coastal communities for which the state is seeking a federal disaster declaration.
