Heavy rain Saturday Night and early this morning caused flash flood warnings and wind warnings from the National Weather Service.  In the Mid Coast area many roads including Route 1 in Bucksport and Belfast were flooded and in Southern Maine, which was not hit as hard, the Intersection of Route 237 and 35 was closed for a time due to flooding.  There was also standing water along many other roads but no others were closed to traffic.

As for power outages at it’s peak more than 8,300 people were without power according to CMP.  That number is coming down as restoration efforts are underway.
