Houlton man tops 120 MPH as he evades police

A Houlton man faces several charges after a high speed chase where speeds reached 120 miles per hour on the Maine turnpike Saturday afternoon; This according to CBS 13 news.

Maine state police said Michael Pierce, 43, was spotted by troopers speeding on the turnpike around 12:30 p.m. Saturday before stopping him in Falmouth just after 1 p.m.

Troopers tried to stop pierce in Sabattus but he refused to stop and was passing vehicles in and out of the breakdown lane.

Pierce has two passengers in the North Carolina registered car who were not charged. Pierce was charged with eluding a police officer, driving to endanger and operating under suspension.
