Investigators identify woman found dead on Prout’s Neck in Scarborough

SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGAN) Police have identified a woman who was found dead near the water in Scarborough on Monday.

On Tuesday, Scarborough Police said the woman who was found unresponsive on the rocks at Prout’s Neck was 37-year-old Helen Armide of Cape Elizabeth.

Investigators said her vehicle was parked on Harmon Street next to her family’s seasonal home, within walking distance of the cliff walk.

The Chief Medical Examiner’s office concluded that drowning was the cause of death.

The results of toxicology tests are pending.
