Janet Mills Leads Campaign Fundraising in Governor’s Race

Democrat Janet Mills leads all Maine gubernatorial candidates in recent fundraising efforts.

The Portland Press Herald reports Mills raised over $900,000 in the past three weeks. Outside groups like the Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund have contributed big money in support of Mills.

Republican Shawn Moody raised $340,000 in the last three weeks.

Independent Terry Hayes, using Clean Election funding, reported $175,000 in that period, while independent Alan Caron raised just over $2,000.
