Jay man charged with threatening mother, sister with violence

A man from Jay accused of threatening family members is behind bars.

The Sun Journal reports that 57-year-old Robert Tibbetts was arrested Thursday. Tibbetts is accused of threatening his mother and his sister. Police say he threatened his mother with a knife, a bat, and an ax, and allegedly stalked her in a vehicle.

Tibbetts was being held at the Franklin County Detention Center on Monday in lieu of $500 bail.
