Jury convicts Maine man of murdering long-time girlfriend


A Hartford man has been convicted of murder in the death of his girlfriend.

According to CBS 13 news, 49-year-old Rondon Athayde was convicted in Oxford County Superior Court on Thursday.

Athayde was convicted of killing his girlfriend and mother of two children, Ana Cordeiro, in December of 2018. Cordeiro’s two children were in the home at the time of the murder.

Athayde will be sentenced on August 31st in Oxford County Superior Court.
