Juvenile charged after shooting in Portland that left victim in critical condition

Portland police have arrested the suspect in a shooting in the city’s East Bayside neighborhood.

Police on Friday said they took a 17-year-old juvenile male into custody and charged him with elevated aggravated assault. He’s charged in connection with a shooting Wednesday on Greenleaf Street that left one man critically injured.

The juvenile is being held at Long Creek Youth Development Center.

There was no update on the victim’s condition, and no details about what led up to the shooting.
