Lewiston police make arrest in pedestrian-involved hit-and-run

LEWISTON, Maine (WGAN) Police in Lewiston have made an arrest in a hit-and-run investigation.

The accident, which involved a pedestrian, happened on Lisbon Street under the Alfred Plourde Parkway overpass a little before 2 a.m. Sunday. 31-year-old Jason Stratton of Lewiston, the victim in the accident, remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police obtained a warrant of arrest for 40-year-old Brad W. Johnson of Lewiston. He’s been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and falsifying physical evidence. He was found and taken into custody just after 3 p.m. Thursday at his business, Brad’s Precision Auto Repair on Riverside Drive in Auburn. He has been transported to the Androscoggin County Jail where bail will be set.

Police said Johnson’s gray Toyota Tundra pick-up truck was located and seized as part of this on-going investigation.
