Maine Gov. asks federal government to provide state with personal protective equipment

Governor Janet Mills is pressing the federal government to provide more personal protective equipment and testing supplies to the state of Maine.

The governor sent a letter to Vice President Mike Pence and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar.

She requested that the federal government expedite the release of PPE from the Strategic National Stockpile.

The governor pushed for “a steady and reliable supply” of testing materials as the outbreak intensifies.
