A Belfast man accused of killing his wife and injuring his mother is not competent to stand trial.

That’s according to a court which ordered a competency evaluation for 34-year-old Samuel Whittemore.

According to WABI, Whittemore is accused of killing his wife, Margaux Whittemore, and injuring his mother in Readfield in February.

The court ordered Whittemore to be committed to a psychiatric facility for restoration of competence.
