Maine Wayfair employees join protest

BRUNSWICK, Maine (WGAN) Maine Wayfair employees joined a protest over the company’s sales to migrant detention centers.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a small number of employees gathered outside with other protesters shortly after 1:30 pm.

The employees oppose the treatment of migrants in the detention centers, and had learned that Wayfair sold over two hundred thousand dollars worth of furniture to a contractor managing those camps.

Managers told the employees they would not be punished for participating in the protest.
