Maine worker killed in tree-cutting accident identified

WATERFORD, Maine (AP) A worker who died in a tree-cutting accident in western Maine has been identified.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Department said 50-year-old Michael Truman, of Harrison, was clearing brush in South Waterford when the incident occurred on Wednesday. A tree top that was cut hit Truman, who died at the scene from a head injury.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
