A high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended with the arrest of a suspect in Portland on Friday morning.

Maine State Police say the suspect, 32-year-old Shawn Dame of Canton, stole gas from a gas station in Richmond and then fled from a trooper who tried to stop him on I-295.

Police said he caused two crashes along the way, injuring two people, before abandoning the vehicle and running into a marine store where he was captured by Portland Police.

He faces multiple charges including eluding, driving to endanger, and leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.
