Police have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run in Auburn.

Police say a 22-year-old Auburn woman was struck by a vehicle as she was walking in the area of 32 Riverside Dr. early Thursday morning.

A local business provided police with surveillance footage that showed the crash, but investigators couldn’t identify the vehicle.

Police received a tip after the footage was posted on social media, and then they were able to locate the vehicle and the suspect.

Police say the man was identified as 65-year-old Michael Fowler of Auburn.

He was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

The victim remained in the hospital Sunday in serious but stable condition.
