Man Arrested for Bangor Robbery


BANGOR, Maine (WGAN)  Bangor Police have arrested a man they say robbed a restaurant in the city on Wednesday.

Police say they responded to Thai Siam Restaurant around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday to a reported robbery.  Employees told police a man entered the restaurant and demanded money.  Police were told the suspect also had a gun.

Police say the suspect fled before they arrived and they were unable to locate him.

As detectives continued their investigation, 35-year-old Michael Deshane from Bangor was arrested on Thursday.  He’s been charged with a single count of robbery.

Police say Deshane did not have a gun with him at the time of the robbery.

Deshane was taken to Penobscot County Jail.

Police say the incident remains under investigation.
