Man arrested in Bangor apartment stabbing

Police have made in arrest after a stabbing inside a Bangor apartment building.

Officers responded to the Third St. building just before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, they found an individual who was bleeding heavily. The suspect had already fled the scene.

Police began to search for the suspect, and late Wednesday morning, they announced the arrest of Stephen Hunt, 31, of Bangor.

Hunt was charged with domestic violence elevated aggravated assault.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. Police provided no further details about the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Hunt remained in the Penobscot County Jail Wednesday morning.
