Man Charged With OUI After Accidentally Towing Vehicle From Bar Parking Lot

BUXTON, Maine (WGAN) Police say an East Waterboro man who accidentally towed a vehicle from a bar parking lot is charged with drunken driving.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Buxton police said two officers saw the pick-up truck towing another vehicle out of the lot at Skip’s Lounge around 11 p.m. Saturday night, pulling on to Route 202. They noticed there were no rear lights on either car and pulled the driver over. They found that the driver, 25-year-old Justin Dproul, had backed into the other vehicle by accident, causing it to attach to the hitch, and then drove off without noticing.

There was no inside the vehicle that was being towed.

Sproul will appear in Biddeford District Court in June.
