Man dies after being struck by car on Commercial Street

A 68-year-old man  has died after he was hit by a car on Commercial Street in Portland Sunday morning, according to our info partners at CBS13.

Police say the man was hit in the area of 555 Commercial Street around 1:20 a.m.

That car was reportedly driven by a 51-year-old Livermore Falls resident.

The victim was immediately taken to Maine Medical Center but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No charges have been filed at this time, and no names are being released pending next of kin notification.
