Man struck and killed by train in Portland

Police in Portland are investigating after a man was struck by a train Wednesday evening.

Police say it happened around 6:15 p.m. on St. John Street. The victim, who hasn’t been identified, died from his injuries.

Amtrak Police and the Portland Police Department are investigating the death.

His body was brought to the state’s medical examiner for an autopsy.
