BELMONT, Maine (AP) Officials say a man and woman were arrested in Maine after they were found smoking crack while a 1-year-old child was inside their vehicle.

Maine State Police said in a statement that 28-year-old Jacob Moulton and 32-year-old Desirae Cushman were discovered parked in an empty lot in Belmont on Saturday.

Police say Moulton and Cushman were using drugs with a small child strapped into a car seat.

They were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and unlawful drug possession.
