A man reported missing was found dead in the water in Acadia National Park.
The National Park Service says a 25-year-old man’s body was found in the ocean near Bar Island Thursday morning.
Authorities began their search Wednesday after a report of a person stranded on the island, which is off the coast of Bar Harbor.
The park service is leading the investigation and says no new information will be released until 72 hours after his next of kin are notified.
