Missing Whitefield Woman Found Alive

WHITEFIELD, Maine (WGAN)  A missing Whitefield woman with dementia was located last evening by game wardens and state troopers.

Game wardens say 66-year-old Darlene Bell was located alive around 8:00 p.m. Bell was last seen yesterday morning at 6:30.

Authorities were called late yesterday afternoon when it was determined Bell was missing from her home.

Bell was found in the woods about 1/4 mile from her Gardiner Road home, also known as Route 126 in Whitefield.

Wardens say Bell appeared to be exhibiting signs of advanced hypothermia and was transported to Maine General in Augusta by Delta Ambulance personnel.
