FARMINGTON, Maine (WGAN) An ATV crash in Farmington Wednesday morning left a mother and her 6-year-old son seriously injured.

According to our info partners at CBS 13, Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said the 26-year-old mother was operating an ATV with her son sitting behind her. She then lost control near a bridge, falling 23 feet down into Hardy Brook.

The boy was taken by Life Light helicopter to Maine Medical Center and his mother was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
