EASTON, Maine (WGAN) Maine State Police say an Easton man died Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a car in Easton.

Police say the crash happened along Route 10. The victim was identified as 62-year-old Vance Smith.

Troopers said Vance’s motorcycle was overtaking a vehicle that was making a right turn on to Richardson Road. That vehicle was following a minivan driven by 60-year-old Mary Johnson from Easton, who was making a left turn. Smith collided with the vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle. Smith died at the scene. Johnson was not injured.
