MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) New Hampshire has tied the state record for most homicides in a single year, a record that has stood for nearly three decades.

The state has matched the New Hampshire record of 32 homicides set in 1991.

WMUR-TV reports that a recent case that’s under investigation could bring that number to 33.

Associate Attorney General Jeff Strelzin says 2019 has been “an unusual year.”

He said the state typically has about 19 homicides per year, though the numbers fluctuate.
