New York man accused of drug trafficking arrested after arriving in Maine by bus

A New York man has been arrested on drug charges following a tip from the public.

Maine’s Drug Enforcement Agency says 33-year-old Jerome Morris, who also went by “Ice,” was travelling between New York and Maine on a weekly basis, often using Concord Coach Lines, to bring fentanyl and crack into the state.

Agents and police stopped the taxi Morris had gotten into after arriving on the bus in Portland on Saturday evening. They seized drugs from Morris, who was then taken to Cumberland County Jail with bail set at $40,000.
