Old Orchard Beach Man Charged With Sexual Abuse of 15-Year-Old


OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (WGAN) Police in Old Orchard Beach say they’ve arrested a man accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Police arrested 40-year-old Jeremy Buckley on February 8th on a warrant. He was charged with one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor for his relationship with the girl, which began in 2015. Buckley’s arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by detectives.

Buckley was previously required to register through the Maine Sex Offender Registry due to previous convictions.

Buckley was held at the York County Jail and was released on February 13th on $10,000 bail. As part of his bail conditions, Buckley is to have no contact with the victim or any children under the age of 16, and is not to come within 500 feet of any primary, elementary, middle or high school.
