Old Orchard Beach officers respond to domestic violence incident

On July 3rd, officers of the Old Orchard Beach Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident at a residence on Cedar Avenue.

Officers met with the female who reported being assaulted by her male boyfriend. The man identified as Christopher Thornton reportedly struck the female several times and threatened to kill her.

The female was taken to Southern Maine Healthcare for non-life threatening injuries. Four children between the ages of 5 and 14 were home during the reported assault.

Thornton is being held at the York County Jail without bail and is on a probation hold.
