Central Maine Power reported Wednesday morning that tropical storm Isaias knocked out service to about 99,000 homes and businesses.

The storm brought strong gusty winds to the area and caused trees and power lines to tumble down in some parts of the state.

The hardest hit areas were York and Cumberland Counties. CMP reported a combined 47,000 outages in those counties late Tuesday night.
