Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office made two serious domestic violence arrests within hours of each other.

On Friday at around 8pm, deputies responded to a residence in Garland after reports of family fighting.

They ended up arresting 54-year-old Wade Bigelow on two counts including Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault.

Bigelow is accused of strangling his girlfriend and then attempting to drag her out of the residence.

A few hours later at 12:45, Saturday morning, deputies were called to a residence in Hermon where they found 62-year-old Jason Wiggin, supposedly violating an active protection order.

The victim accused Wiggin of going to the home several times and attempted to make contact with them.
