UPDATE: Maine State Police say the situation has been resolved and the shelter-in-place order has been lifted.

Police were responding to a critical incident in Aroostook County on Wednesday.

Police haven’t released details about the situation in Mars Hill, where the public has been asked to shelter and lock their doors.
