Police asking for information about Belfast woman missing since September


Police are searching a Maine river for a missing Belfast woman.

40-year-old Joy MacDonald hasn’t been heard from since September 9th.

The Bangor Daily News writes that search crews were checking the Passagassawakeag River on Tuesday, but found no sign of MacDonald.

Her white Nissan was found nearby on Pierce Street in Belfast near the foot bridge.

Police say MacDonald is 5’5″ weighing 160 pounds and has brown hair.

Anyone with information is being asked to reach out to police.
