A firefighter injured in the deadly explosion at a Searsmont lumber mill is finally heading home.
Belmont firefighter Katherine Paige is set to be released from Maine Medical Center at noon on Friday.
Her husband said she would be heading to the Belmont Fire Station after getting released.
Paige, who was moved out of the ICU last month, is among 12 people who were hospitalized after the fire and explosion at Robbin’s Lumber Mill in May.
Morrill firefighter Andrew Cross and Searsmont Assistant Fire Chief Wayne Woodbury died from injuries suffered in the blast.
