A man has been charged in Maine after a months-long investigation into $100,000 in stolen EBT benefits.

Jeronimo Mavungo Raymond is accused of cloning EBT cards and using them to withdraw money from ATMs and make purchases.

Raymond is set to appear in court on Monday.

State officials say DHHS will never call EBT recipients to ask for card details.
