Police Charge Suspect in Unity Robbery, Currently Searching for Him


UNITY, Maine (WGAN)  The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office says they have charged a Brooks man in connection with a robbery in Unity earlier this week.

The sheriff’s office responded to a robbery at Unity Pharmacy on Monday.  Police say as a result of their investigation, they have issued an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Andrew Sousa.

Police say Sousa was last seen on Monday night in his hometown of Brooks.  He ran into the woods when officers approached him.

Police say their investigation is still ongoing and anyone that knows where Sousa is should call them.
