The Maine State Police say they consider the death of a woman in Norway on Friday a homicide.

Police say they received a disturbance call around 12 p.m. from a third party that told police they believed Andrew St. George, 61, of Norway may have killed his wife, Barbara St. George.

Police arrived at the couple’s residence on Greenwood Road and found Barbara in the driveway. Police say she died at the scene and was transported to the office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta (OCME).

Andrew St. George was treated for minor injuries at the Stephens Memorial Hospital before he was interviewed and arrested for the murder of his wife.

According to CBS 13, OCME has confirmed the body’s identity as Barbara St. George and ruled her death as a homicide. The cause of her death, however, has not been released at this time.
