PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland Police are searching for the suspect involved in the second non-fatal shooting in the city this week.

Police say the shooting happened at the Huntington North Apartment at 326 Auburn Street around 12:15 Friday afternoon. Witnesses described seeing a group of young males in the parking lot arguing prior to hearing the gunshot and seeing someone fall to the ground.

The suspect fled in an unknown vehicle. They’re described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt.

Police believe the shooting was not random and that there’s no threat to the public. They are investigating to determine if there’s any connection to another non-fatal shooting on Tuesday that happened on North Street.

The 22-year-old victim was being treated at Maine Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Portland police.
