Police investigate human remains discovered in Waldo County

UNITY, Maine (AP) State police in Maine say they’re investigating the discovery of human remains in a stream by kayakers.

Police said Wednesday the kayakers discovered the remains in Unity on May 29. The remains appear to be of an adult man and seem to have been in the stream for several years.

Police are investigating in the area of Sandy Stream in Unity and reviewing missing persons cases that are on file.
