Police investigating couple’s death as murder-suicide

WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say they are investigating the deaths of a couple from Waterboro as a domestic violence murder-suicide.

Police say the bodies of Christal and Christopher Denis , both 45, were found in their home on New Dam Road just before 8 p.m. Saturday night by York County deputies who had been called to the house by relatives of the couple.

Detectives said Denis shot his wife with a shotgun and then turned the gun on himself. The two bodies were found in the living room of the house.

Autopsies were scheduled for Sunday.
