Police Investigating Robbery in Sanford


SANFORD, Maine (WGAN)  Sanford Police are investigating a robbery at the Lil Mart on Main Street Tuesday night.

Police say around 8:20 p.m., a man went into the store and asked for change.  When the clerk opened the register, the suspect reached over the counter, grabbed cash and ran off.

Police say the suspect is a white male, about 5-foot-10 with a thin build.  He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pants and camouflage gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
