Police have made an arrest following a suspicious fire that damaged an elementary school in Bath.

Police said a 30-year-old man was arrested by the fire marshal’s office and local police Saturday evening.

The man was jailed on Sunday.

It was unclear if he had an attorney.

Two firefighters were treated for injuries while battling the fire that started late Friday at Dike Newell School.

The school’s principal said damage was “extensive.”
