Police release identity of woman found dead in Lewiston

Police have identified a woman who was found dead in Lewiston on Monday.

Maine State Police say 42-year-old Melissa Donoghue of Lewiston was found dead inside of a residence on Old Greene Road around 5:10 a.m. Monday.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday but Donoghue’s cause and manner of death are being withheld as the investigation continues.

Police say there’s no threat to the public.

More details are expected as the investigation continues.
