Police seek suspect in Waldo County grocery store robbery


FRANKFORT, Maine (WGAN) Police are looking for the suspect accused of robbing a Wentworth’s store in Frankfort on Sunday evening.

The robbery happened around 5:20 p.m. Lt. Matthew Curtis with the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office says the store was held up by one suspect, who appears to be a white male, standing at about 5’3″ and weighing 130 pounds. The photo above was captured by a surveillance camera.

They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery or who was in the area of the Route 1A and Loggin Road intersection at the time to reach out to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
