Police: Woman Charged After Nearly Hitting Deputy

ARUNDEL, Maine (WGAN)  A Saco woman is facing multiple charges after police say she nearly hit a sheriff’s deputy.
The York County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Chris Woodcock stopped a vehicle on Biddeford Road in Arundel for having a loud exhaust and having a tail light out.
As the deputy was talking to the driver, police say 36-year-old Lindsey Richards passed dangerously close.  The deputy estimates that her car came within inches of his legs.
The deputy jumped back into his cruiser and caught up with Richards in Lyman.  She was charged with operating after suspension, driving to endanger, OUI and violating conditions of release.
Her bail was set at $800.  She’s scheduled to be video arraigned Friday.
